Frieren’s Journey Resumes: Season 2 Unveils First Teaser Trailer

The highly anticipated second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has officially revealed its first teaser trailer, sending fans into a frenzy ahead of its January 2026 premiere. The reveal took place during Anime Expo 2025 (July 3–6, Los Angeles) and confirmed that Studio MADHOUSE will return to animate the series.

Adapted from the acclaimed manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe—serialised since April 2020 in Weekly Shōnen Sunday—the anime explores Frieren’s poignant travel with her companions after the death of Himmel. Season 2 will continue from chapter 61, covering the “Continued Northern Travels” arc and perhaps progressing into the “Goddess’ Monument” arc.

• Storyline: After defeating the Demon King, an ageless Frieren travels back decades later to mourn fallen allies and reflects on mortality and memory.
