MAPPA has revealed the main trailer for Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc, marking a pivotal continuation of Denji’s saga. This cinematic adaptation of the beloved "Bomb Girl" arc promises intense action, emotional depth, and major character developments.

The trailer features "IRIS OUT" by Kenshi Yonezu, returning after his hit "KICK BACK" from Season 1. The song heightens the emotional undercurrent between Denji, Makima, and Reze.

INTRODUCTION:

“Chainsaw Man” is a manga serialised in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” that has sold over 30,000,000 copies. In 2022, the series was broadcast as a TV anime series that was made by animation studio MAPPA (notable works: “JUJUTSU KAISEN”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, etc.), creating buzz all over the world.

Now in 2025, the episode that made the world go wild during its serialisation is coming to theatres as an animated movie!

STORY:

Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.

The first season of Chainsaw Man was a huge success, with memorable characters and a unique aesthetic. VIZ Media releases the manga in English; Crunchyroll describes the series as such:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
