Netflix has officially confirmed that Season 3 of its globally popular Japanese survival thriller, Alice in Borderland, will premiere on September 25, 2025. The announcement came along with the first full trailer and teaser visuals teasing the ominous Joker card storyline.

Season 3 picks up immediately following the cliffhanger ending of Season 2, which concluded in December 2022. Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya), who had seemingly escaped the Borderland and even married in the real world, find their peace shattered when Usagi disappears and Arisu is handed the mysterious Joker card, a symbol traditionally tied to the ultimate threshold between life and death.
As described in Netflix’s official synopsis, “After Usagi is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Arisu returns to the perilous Borderland to save her… They must face the yet‑unseen Joker stage in a desperate bid to find a way back to their original world.”
