LAZARUS Finale Airs with a Brand-New Team Visual!
The final episode of LAZARUS has officially aired, and to mark the conclusion of the series, a brand-new key visual has been unveiled featuring the show's five central agents. The visual release comes just as Episode 13 wrapped up broadcasting in Japan on June 29, capping off a wild, genre-bending ride from creator Shinichirō Watanabe.
Key Visuals:
The LAZARUS experience wouldn’t be complete without its signature sound—a pulse-pounding, jazz-infused electronic score crafted by Kamasi Washington, Floating Points, and Bonobo. Their collaboration delivers a unique soundscape that elevates every chase, clash, and revelation throughout the series.
Production was led by Sola Entertainment, with MAPPA on animation, bringing Watanabe’s dystopian vision to life through intense action sequences, slick cinematography, and splendid pacing.
The Story So Far
Set in a futuristic 2052, LAZARUS imagines a world that has conquered illness and pain through a revolutionary drug called Hapuna, developed by genius neuroscientist Dr Skinner. At first, Hapuna brings hope and harmony—but that illusion shatters when Skinner vanishes.
Years later, he reemerges with a terrifying revelation: Hapuna wasn’t a cure but a ticking time bomb. Anyone who took it has only three years to live.
In the face of global catastrophe, a specialised five-member task force is formed—Lazarus. Their mission: find Skinner, uncover the truth behind Hapuna, and stop a worldwide collapse before it’s too late.
