Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Drops Explosive Main Trailer!

Additional cast members, the main promotional video, and the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime Kaiju No. 8 have been revealed. Season 2 will premiere on July 19 and air every Saturday at 11:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll will stream the new season worldwide with subtitles.

The opening theme, titled “You Can’t Run From Yourself”, will be performed by Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA. The track is said to reflect Kafka’s internal emotional struggle as he faces his dual identity and escalating kaiju conflicts.

New Cast Revealed

Several new characters and cast members were introduced alongside the PV:

• Hiroki Yasumoto as Eiji Hasegawa
• Kana Hanazawa as Rin Shinonome
• Other Division Captains and Officers will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Expect more additions as the Second Division and other specialised units come into play this season.
