The official Battle Chronicle website has announced that all versions of the mobile and PC game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle will end service on September 29, 2025, at 15:00 (UTC+9). The shutdown affects Android, iOS, PC (Windows), and PlayStation 4 and 5, mirroring the PlayStation shutdown plan previously disclosed

Shutdown Timeline & What Players Need to Know

  • June 25, 2025 – Official end-of-service announcement published.

  • July 30, 2025 – Paid in-game currency ("Selas") sales will end after scheduled maintenance.

  • September 29, 2025, at 15:00 (UTC+9) – Game servers across all platforms will close, and distribution via the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PlayStation shopfronts will cease.

  • Future Events: A final anniversary event and promotional video will launch in July, with enhanced free currency distribution and story drops in the lead-up to the game’s conclusion

Official Explanation from Developers

Aiming’s team directors Nakabayashi and Akaiwa said they “regret” ending the service, citing challenges in maintaining the quality and expectations players deserve. They thanked players for their support and announced that the official Discord server will close on July 31, 2025.
