From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman: Season 2 Anime Announced for 2026
In a surprise reveal at the conclusion of Season 1, From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (片田舎のおっさん、剣聖になる) has officially been greenlit for Season 2, scheduled to premiere in 2026. Adapted from Shigeru Sagazaki’s fantasy light novels, the anime has won praise for its grounded swordplay and heartfelt storytelling.
