Animethon 2025 is set to take place from August 8 to 10 at the Edmonton Convention Centre, bringing with it a vibrant celebration of Japanese pop culture, anime, music, cosplay, and community. Just a few weeks later, Edmonton Expo 2025 will return to the Edmonton Expo Centre from September 19 to 21, delivering a massive, multi-fandom convention packed with anime panels, voice actor guests, itasha showcases, and live idol performances.

🏯 Animethon 2025 (Aug 8–10) – Edmonton Convention Centre

Animethon, organized by the Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts (ASAPA), remains Canada’s longest-running anime-exclusive convention, dating back to 1994. In recent years, it has grown into a full-fledged, weekend-long cultural celebration with over 15,000 attendees.

Highlights:
