Dr.STONE: Science Future Part 2—New Trailer, Cast & Theme Songs Revealed

The official Dr.STONE: Science Future Part 2 trailer has finally dropped, and it promises high-octane adventures ahead. The new PV confirms that the anime’s final season resumes on July 10, 2025 (Thursday) at 10:00 PM JST. In it, Senku and Taiju roar across rugged South American terrain on steampunk motorcycles, hinting at the next stage of their global quest to reach “the source of all mysteries.” The clip also teases the intense chase between Senku’s team and their foes (including Dr. Xeno and Stanley Snyder) set to the opening theme.

TRAILER:

One of the biggest surprises in the trailer was the introduction of Chelsea Childe, a brilliant young geographer who appears in the manga’s final arc. Voice actress Megumi Han (famous for roles like Gon in Hunter × Hunter) has been cast as Chelsea, confirming the character’s imminent arrival. (Reigo Yamaguchi is also announced as Leonhard, a former U.S. military radar specialist.) Chelsea’s expertise in maps and navigation will be crucial as Team Senku crosses the South American continent, signaling that this part of the journey will be a true expedition.
Han’s own comments show how meaningful the role is to her. She jokingly recalls pondering cicadas (which spend years underground) at the same moment she learned she’d been cast as Chelsea. In her words, she felt a mysterious connection to the anime’s theme of petrification and rebirth. She calls geography “the mother of all sciences” and pledges to “pour everything into” this role to “repay” the hopes Senku’s team has built so far. This passionate reaction underlines Chelsea’s importance: she’s more than just a guide—she embodies the science spirit Dr. STONE fans love, and she’s poised to shake up the story in the final season.

Along with the trailer, the new opening and ending songs were revealed. KANA-BOON (returning after their previous Dr.STONE themes) will perform the OP titled “SUPERNOVA,” while singer -otoha- performs the ED “no man’s world.” Both tracks are original songs written specifically for the anime. The titles themselves hint at the grand scale of the story: Supernova evokes explosive cosmic energy (fitting Senku’s goal of reaching the stars), and No Man’s World suggests the emptiness and wonder of a world without people (reflecting humanity’s petrification and rebirth)'. KANA-BOON’s vocalist Maguro Taniguchi says he’s “thrilled” to craft the opening and describes it as a “solid, aggressive” song that perfectly matches the series’ intensifying battles.  Singer -otoha—who admits she’s “just someone who loves Dr.” STONE”—poured her passion into the ending theme. She describes the creative process as “distilling pure crystal from a waterfall of words and music,” aiming to make a song “anyone can sing.”
